Fashion Friday- Red Hot

I'm so sick of the gray and monotone of this winter, I'm ready for flowers and warmth. That's where red comes in. Red is so bright and cheery and so warm. Maybe it's just me, but red seems to be everywhere in clothing and accessories. Or maybe I'm just noticing more since I crave it.

Shimmering Art

One of my wire wrapped rings made it into an Etsy Treasury! :)

Handmade Toys & CPSIA

I just bought this cute gift for my little cousin from Ozark Nana on Etsy. It's adorable! Four soft fleece tools in girly colors with a little flannel tool box for her to keep them in. She can be just like Daddy and fix things with her tools, or hit her sister with a hammer without getting in trouble! I think this toy is well worth the $20 I paid for it.


Here is the same Toy Tool Kit with only 2 differences- it's the boy version and it is $10,940!
Why is this set so horribly expensive? It's priced how it will have to be priced after the CPSIA goes into effect on February 10th. It's ridiculous! This law needs to be amended to protect children without putting so many good people out of business.

A Rockin and A Rollin...

One of my favorite necklaces from my Dashery Jewelry Etsy shop are featured in Designs by Victoria's latest treasury list! My Amazonite Harlequin Nugget necklace is among the 'rocks' in ARockin and ARollin All Night Long.

Since Victoria showed you one of my favorite necklaces, I thought I'd show you one of my favorite necklaces from Designs by Victoria. Her Peridot and Amethyst Victorian Keyhole Choker is a matrix of wire wrapped peridot beads (well over a 100 of them!) and dangles of

Happy National Squirrel Day!

Yep. Today is National Squirrel Day.
This was a great discovery for me because I recently acquired a little squirrel friend. Isn't he cute?
He lives above the closet door of my bedroom closet. I positioned him so that if he were to throw his acorn, it would land in my cat's water glass. I thought it was funny. She doesn't, but what cat finds anything funny about a squirrel? :)

Fashion Friday- Colors of Pearls

Pearls are a classic part of a woman's wardrobe. I have a double strand of beautiful blush pearls from my grandmother that were her grandmother's. I'm supposed to wear them at my wedding (insert laughs here) They are beautiful, but not something I would wear everyday. More and more women are wearing pearls but in a more casual way and with all the colors available in pearls it's no secret why- they're beautiful.

Ice, Ice Baby

Dashery Jewelry's Blue Circle Shell Earrings with pearls made it into an awesome Etsy treasury by Beadiful Designs. Yeah! And admit it- you want to click on a treasury titled Ice, Ice Baby (even with the song going through your head.)

Fashion Friday- Steampunk

Steampunk is an unusual style- a cross between the Victorian era and Scifi fantasy. It reminds me of The Adventures of Jules Verne series from 2000- lots of lace and velvet jackets with futuristic gadgets with cogs and random looking pieces of brass.
